On the basis of a CFRP component, visitors to the fair can see a complete machining process - from CAD/CAM to milling and quality evaluation. The exchange of process data during milling and quality assurance data makes it possible to intervene in the machining process in the event of deviations from specified production, quality or threshold values.

The "Process Live" special area of the cutting specialist GUNNAR is aimed specifically at the DACH market region with its small and medium-sized companies. Together with the laser projection expert LAP and the composites engineering specialist SCHEURER Swiss, GUNNAR presents a linked overall process that combines modern machines, software and specialized manual work.

The Airbus patented VAP® process (vacuum assisted process) is based on the use of semipermeable VAP® membrane systems from Trans-Textil GmbH as a gas-permeable resin barrier. Together with its technology partner Composyst, the company will present the VAP® process in live demonstrations at COMPOSITES EUROPE 2019.
