Two years ago COMPOSITES EUROPE was launched in Essen as a new international trade fair for fibre reinforced composite materials. After being staged in Stuttgart last year, a significantly larger COMPOSITES EUROPE now returns to Essen for its third edition. When COMPOSITES EUROPE opens its gates this year from 23 to 25 September, the list of exhibitors will include some 270 exhibitors from 19 countries. The trade fair visitors can look forward to a broad spectrum of future-oriented high performance materials. COMPOSITES EUROPE 2008 and the parallel world trade fair, ALUMINIUM 2008, together form the world’s largest platform for lightweight construction materials.

Essen. In a few weeks’ time COMPOSITES EUROPE 2008 will open with a new record number of exhibitors. 270 international exhibitors have already registered for the third international trade fair for fibre-reinforced composite materials which will be held from 23 to 25 September in Essen (Germany). With this number, COMPOSITES EUROPE has already substantially exceeded its previous 2007 record of 200 exhibitors. Furthermore, the exhibition area will be twice that of the previous event.

A new process from the composites sector will be used during production of the tailgate for the new Smart model. This involves the first industrial use of E-LFT Technology, in which structural components can be mass-produced in one operating cycle. The innovation will be presented at COMPOSITES EUROPE by Dieffenbacher GmbH + Co. KG from Eppingen (Baden-Württemberg).

Essen. CRP as a high performance material for pioneering industries is booming. This trend is being specifically dealt with by the COMPOSITES EUROPE Trade Fair, which will take place in Essen from 23 to 25 September 2008. Numerous companies will display their innovative production technologies and processing procedures for the manufacture of CRP components there.

Stuttgart. Whether carbon, glass or natural fibres, the spectrum of materials available to manufacturers of composite products continues to grow. World Première in Schwaighofen:
Light, efficient and silent: Exactly 50 years ago, on the 27th of November 1957, the first aircraft worldwide to be made from fibre-reinforced plastics took off. It was the “FS 24 Phoenix”: A glider developed, designed and built by three pioneers, two of which still live not far from the new Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.
