Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe - AVKDie Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V. (AVK) ist die mitgliedsstärkste Fachorganisation der Rohstofflieferanten und der Verarbeiter von verstärkten und gefüllten Kunststoffen in Europa. Ferner sind Maschinenbauer, Ingenieurbüros, Prüfämter und wissenschaftliche Institute Mitglieder der AVK. Sowohl die Technik als auch das Marketing der verstärkten und gefüllten Kunststoffe werden in verschiedenen Arbeitskreisen bearbeitet. Die Arbeitskreise bieten Hilfestellung zur Lösung der zentralen Fragen der Branche. Die AVK veranstaltet ihre jährliche Internationale AVK-Tagung auf der COMPOSITES EUROPE.

Der Österreichische Arbeitskreis für verstärkte Kunststoffe (ÖAVK) ist eine Interessengemeinschaft der
 
  • Dienstleister
  • Rohstoffhersteller
  • Händler (Halbzeug)
  • Hersteller von Produkten aus Faser/Kunststoff-Verbunden (FKV)
  • Zulieferer für den FKV-Bereich sowie
  • Anwender von Produkten aus FKV,
     
die im Rahmen des ofi (Österreichisches Forschungs-institut für Chemie und Technik) aktiv ist und durch das ofi-Kunststoffinstitut betreut wird. Das ofi-Kunststoffinstitut ist eine der acht Sektionen des Österreichischen Forschungsinstitutes für Chemie und Technik, das wiederum eine akkreditierte und in zahlreichen Bereichen einschlägig staatlich autorisierte Prüfanstalt ist.

Die Zielsetzung des ÖAVK ist es, die Anwendung der Faser-Kunststoff-Verbunde (FKV) in allen Gebieten, wo sie sinnvoll ist, zu fördern. Hiezu dient die spezifische Gütesicherung und Normung, Imagebildung durch gezielte Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Vermittlung einschlägiger Informationen an die ÖAVK-Mitglieder, Unterstützung bei Projekten und Entwicklungen, Sprecherfunktion gegenüber den Behörden, Forcieren des Werkstoffes in der Nachwuchsausbildung und weitere Aktivitäten des ÖAVK.
