FutureCarbon is specialized in the development and manufacture of carbon nanomaterials and their refinement to create what are called carbon super-composites, primary products for end users and for further processing by industry. Carbon super-composites are combinations of materials that unfold the special characteristics of carbon nanomaterials such as high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and mechanical reinforcement in the macroscopic world of real applications.
FutureCarbon’s main focus during the Composites Europe will be on the presentation of the Carbo e-Therm product family. Carbo e-Therm is a heated coating based on carbon nanomaterials, developed especially to operate these coatings with non-hazardous low voltages.
The excellent applicability to very different geometries and surfaces plus high heating power open up a wide field of possible uses for mold construction and for automotive industry such as heating of interior lining, steering wheels, arm rests or roof lining. Besides Carbo e-Therm offers extraordinary opportunities for the design of highly efficient, battery operated, electrical car concepts, when it comes to technical future developments concerning e-Cars. For the mold construction industry the advantage of Carbo e-Therm appears in the matter of fact, that almost any geometry can be heated-up to operation temperature fast, simple and very efficiently.
Another highlight during the show will be the first time presentation of CarboForce. These materials are based on Carbon Nanotubes improved polymers (e.g. based on Epoxy– or Cyanatester resins), which for example will be used for production of GFK- or CFK components instead of pure resins and show an all-time improvement of mechanical characteristics. Such outstanding developments reveal a whole new angle for the design of extremely light and firm components for any kind of construction such as aviation, aeronautics and automotive industry or wind power plants.
The FutureCarbon product portfolio will be completed by CarboShield. CarboShield is a coating based on carbon metamaterials intended to guard technical installations, electronic modules, components etc. against electromagnetic radiation. CarboShield is suitable for all applications that require effective suppression of electromagnetic radiation, to ensure the necessary reliability and functionality of sensitive technical devices for example, or to safeguard human beings against exposure to radiation.
All of our materials are manufactured on an industrial scale ensuring effective series production as well as cost-efficiency.
